 The tool did not work for me.I needed to use it on SQL7 using MSDE 1 for sharepoint 10.x (an NT beta version)Any how it could not find any password info and could not read the format of the file even though it is still an mdf file.I tried a number of tools all with the same problem. It looks like the tools will not work with anything older than SQL2000. It did kind of say this but not in a clear way. I thought it was worth a try.
Its a bad software, there is no help available to understand. It keeps on throwing error even though sql services is stopped. very irritating.

 Can`t start the recovery in the trial version I can't event start the recovery - after clicking on the start button the information, that the functionality is available only in the full version appears.

I have a 8 character password like gr4gdty7 that I need cracked. I am going to buy a product (http://www.rixler.com/purchase_wpasrec.htm) to simply decrypt the eight word files I need done as a once off job. I am a writer in my pass time and I do not have a lot of money right now. If I sent you one of the files, would you be able to get me the password because the password is the same for all the affected files. Cheers, Tim

"I bet that will teach him to write down his passwords. Don't blame us here at Rixler!" You're right. I should write down passwords, and I usually do. I missed a few old Word documents somewhere. So, it's not your fault. I still say your service is overpriced, but I guess since I paid for it, not so much eh?  Review for Word Repair Did not find it to be any better than the recovery features already included in Word, and I would have liked to be able to save one or two files before having to pay, in order to evaluate the software.
